Frequently Asked Questions
What materials do you use in your memorial jewelry pieces?
Anything, as long as it can be dried out. Flowers, fur, ashes, dirt, fabrics are all ways to capture the memories of loved ones. I can also add mica powders, glitters, and even gold leaf to achieve whatever style you desire.
How much of the keepsake material do you need?
Depending on the size of the piece you want, typically I only need around half a teaspoon per material. I've incorporated up to 4 materials in a single pendant before. Send as much as you like!
Will all the keepsake material I send be used?
Not necessarily. Clients have given me dirt, and requested I dispose of the remnants afterwards. I can also mail back any extra at no charge to you. In the case you do not want any excess material, I personally bury it, and say a prayer over it.
What happens to unused keepsake material?
Anything unused that clients do not wish to have back, will be given a proper burial with a prayer.
Can I be involved in the design process?
Absolutely, clients are given sketches and WIP (Work in Progress) photos along the way.
Can you match the jewelry to a specific birthstone or color?
Yes! We can incorporate actual gemstones or crystals associated with their birthstone. Or, we can incorporate other colors using mica powders or glitter.
Can I add multiple keepsakes (e.g., ashes and hair) to a single piece?
Yes!
Is the jewelry waterproof or durable for everyday wear?
I recommend never wearing any type of jewelry in the water, especially the ocean or a chemically treated pool. But wearing my jewelry in the shower or while cleaning/doing dishes does not damage it.
I shower with my jewelry on, and it never damages it, but I also should be more diligent in taking off my jewelry beforehand (Do as I say, not as I do).
What should I do if my jewelry gets damaged?
Please message me, so I can fix it.
Can I make changes to my order after it has been placed?
After the order is placed, typically it takes time to finalize the jewelry order. Once the design is approved by the client, it cannot be altered.
Do you ship internationally?
At this time, for custom orders, no.
Is there a way to order memorial jewelry in advance for pre-planning purposes?
Absolutely, you can order the kit first, as it is one flat rate. There is no time frame to send out the keepsakes, as the cost of the kit is deducted from the final cost of the piece.
How do I go about ordering and payment?
You will be purchasing the kit as a down payment of sorts. There is no time frame to get it back to me, but please remember if you need it back by a certain date, to keep in mind the turnaround time of 3-5 weeks. Once I ship out the kit, you can ship it back to me, and then we begin the stages of design. The project will need to be paid for in full before production.
How much does a piece cost?
Pricing ranges between 60-200 dollars. Size, complexity of design, and the amount of time needed to design and complete will determine the final price. You are more than welcome to reach out beforehand to get a quote, and we can work together with any budget!
How will my finished piece be shipped, and is it insured?
I will be shipping with UPS, tracking sent to you, and each item is insured.
