Caring for Your Oddities

At The Copper Moth, each piece is handcrafted with care and intention, designed to be a meaningful addition to your life. To ensure your items remain in great condition, here are some important points to keep in mind:

Handle with Care

Our creations are delicate and require thoughtful handling:

  • Avoid dropping, mishandling, or exposing items to extreme conditions that could compromise their integrity.
  • Follow the care instructions provided with your purchase, especially for crystal-based jewelry or items containing resin or glass.

Tampering or Modifications

While we respect your choice to personalize or modify your items, please note that any alterations made after purchase are done at your own discretion. We cannot provide repairs or replacements for items that have been tampered with, as modifications can affect their structural integrity and design. If you have questions about customization, feel free to contact us for guidance before making changes.

Damages During Shipping

If your item arrives damaged due to shipping, please reach out to us within 7 days of receiving your package. We will gladly send a replacement. Be sure to include photos of the damage when contacting us to expedite the process.

Damages After Purchase

Once an item leaves the storefront or is delivered to your home, it is the customer’s responsibility to care for and handle it appropriately. Unfortunately, we are unable to repair or replace items that have been damaged due to mishandling, accidents, or misuse.

Color Variations and Preferences

Every item we create is unique, and slight variations in color, texture, or finish are natural and part of the charm of handcrafted work. We cannot offer refunds or replacements simply because the colors differ slightly from your expectations. If you have specific preferences, please reach out before placing your order, and we’ll do our best to accommodate you.

Storefront Display Etiquette

If you’re shopping in one of our storefront locations, please enjoy browsing while being mindful of the displays. Items that are tampered with in-store may lose their original quality. We appreciate your cooperation in keeping the displays intact for all customers to enjoy.

Warranty or Repairs

We do not offer a warranty or repair service at this time. If you have questions about how to care for your purchase, feel free to reach out before completing your order.

DIY Repairs

While we do not offer repair services, we understand that accidents happen and you may want to fix your item yourself. Many of our pieces are created using durable materials like UV resin, E6000 glue, and hot glue, which can also be used for minor repairs.

Here are some tips for common fixes:

  • UV Resin: Ideal for reattaching small pieces or filling in gaps. A UV light is required to cure the resin.
  • E6000 Glue: A strong adhesive suitable for most surfaces. Allow it to cure for 24-72 hours for the best results.
  • Hot Glue: Useful for temporary fixes or for lightweight parts. Keep in mind that it may not provide a permanent hold.
